Located at the base of Whistler Gondola, Longhorn Saloon is a local après-ski hangout by day and bump-and-grind bar scene by night. Walking into the Longhorn Saloon on one of its ubiquitous Sunday night party is like returning to your college frat days of billiards bars and intoxicated 90-lbs girls not quite making it to the bathroom. 30 never felt so old. Anytime after 10pm the line at the outdoor entrance begins to grow as chain-smoking snowboarders and ambivalent ski snobs make their way to one of Whistler’s hottest weekly parties. The interior bar is usually packed with Whistler’s wildest singles making their way to the large makeshift dance floor pounding with hip-hop tracks and classic rock anthems.
Tips
The bar doesn’t start to pop until after 11pm, when the door starts to attract and very long line. Arrive around 10pm and wait it out inside.
